Sai Varshith was born into an Indian-origin Hindu family. He shocked the nation when it was revealed that he identified as a White Supremacist and intentionally crashed a U-Haul truck into the White House.
He aimed to assassinate the President and Vice President of the United States. The incident unfolded on a Monday evening at around 9:40 p.m.
Cellphone footage captured the shocking sight of a U-Haul truck barreling through the security barrier at Lafayette Park, located just north of the White House. Witnesses observed the truck striking the barrier, reversing, and striking it again.
Soon after, Sai emerged from the vehicle, heading to the back, where he retrieved a Nazi flag from his backpack. It was at this moment that law enforcement arrested him.
During questioning by Secret Service agents, Varshith admitted that he bought the flag with the swastika online. He also said he liked the Nazis because of their “great history.”
