Norah Jones parents were Sue Jones, an American concert producer, and Ravi Shankar, a renowned Indian Bengali musician.

However, their marriage ended in divorce in 1986. Following the split, Jones resided with her mother and grew up in Grapevine, Texas.

During the musician’s childhood, Jones discovered her passion for music and began singing in church.
