The reason behind this attention is his involvement in a stabbing incident that occurred at a federal prison in Florida.

Moreover, the victim of this attack was none other than Larry Nassar, a disgraced sports doctor and convicted sex offender.

However, this is not the first time McMillan has encountered legal trouble.

The data from the court revealed his history of arrests and convictions, including drug charges and assaults. 

In fact, McMillan is currently serving time for these offenses, which include assaults on a prison guard and another inmate.

Furthermore, in 2002, the 49-year-old inmate was entangled in Wyoming’s federal drug charges.

Subsequently, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Initially, the gravity of his crime led to a sentence of over 20 years in prison.

While McMillan is currently serving for previous convictions, his involvement in the stabbing of Nassar has brought Shane McMillan mugshot back into the spotlight.

Furthermore, Shane was scheduled to be released from prison in 2046. But, he can face a longer sentence if charged and convicted for assaulting Larry.

As mentioned above, Mcmillan is accused of stabbing Nassar. Firstly, the attack took place on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in federal prison.

According to the local correction officers union, Joe Rojas, Larry was stabbed a total of 10 times: twice in the back, twice in the neck, and six times in the chest.

Despite the severity of the assault, Nassar survived and is now recovering from his injuries.

Additionally, McMillan revealed to prison officials the motive behind his violent act.

He claimed that the reason for the attack was a crude comment made by Nassar while they were watching Wimbledon coverage on television.

Specifically, McMillan stated that Nassar expressed a desire to witness young girls playing in the Wimbledon women’s match.

Furthermore, an internal investigation is being held to assess the incident, as per the statement from the Bureau of Prisons.

Moving on to Larry Nassar, he was sentenced to 175 years in prison after over 150 women and girls accused him of sexual abuse spanning two decades.

Moreover, Nassar pleaded guilty to seven counts of sexual assault in Michigan, admitting to sexually abusing and molesting girls under the guise of medical treatment.

In addition, more than 156 women testified in court that Nassar sexually assaulted them under the guise of treating sports injuries.

However, in 2021, Nassar’s victims settled for $380 million with USA Gymnastics and the US Olympic Committee.
