According to police, the Navy sailor, who is a 21-year-old from Florida, was last seen on camera walking near the edge of the lake shoreline at 2 a.m.
The Ibiza Bar on Genesee Street in Illinois has footage of Seamus, dressed in red, standing outside the bar with his friends at 1:30 a.m.
The bar managers noticed that Grey appeared to be drunk and asked him to leave.
A few minutes later, another camera recorded him walking alone through an alley behind the bar in the direction of the lake.
Earlier that night, Grey’s mother, Kerry, had communicated with him via FaceTime from Jupiter, Florida.
She mentioned that they spoke regularly throughout the day and were in touch all the time.
A team of 100 US Navy personnel assisted in the search. As they were searching through private land, they had to obtain permission from property owners to access the areas they needed to cover.
