His friend made the post stating: ” Just got word that my friend Dave Brandt passed away from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident while delivering seed.

This was the man that got me started on my path of working with regenerative agriculture and has taught me more about soil health, cover crops, and soil biology than I ever learned in the years prior to our meeting at a conference in Ohio so many years ago now.

It hurts my heart to know I won’t get to see him at that same conference anymore and enjoy his conversations, stories, and laughter. He touched thousands of lives the same way he did mine and He will be sorely missed.

Please keep his son Jay Brandt and their family in prayer as they go through this difficult time.”

Brandt was involved in a car accident on May 18, 2023, which left him with multiple injuries. He died three days later from complications. He is survived by his son, daughter-in-law, grandson, brother, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
