Miles committed to play for TCU in November 2019 and joined the team in 2020. In his freshman season, he started all 27 games for the Horned Frogs and averaged 13.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.

He was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team and was a two-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
