The American basketball player has faced a lot of controversies after his incident with a minor, and according to the Washington Post, he has also threatened a Memphis mall head security guard.

According to the security guard Morant “threatened” him during an altercation in the parking lot, he was so alarmed that he even made a police report but no arrests were made according to the reports.

Furthermore, just four days after this incident Morant punched a 17-year-old boy in the head during a pickup basketball game at Morant’s house.

Ja Morant Case Details

Morant has been lately in the news for his anger issues. He first threatened the head security guard of the Memphis Mall, then just four days later he hit a minor so hard that he got knocked out.

The case of threatening the security guard was handled quite easily as no arrest was made as per the records. The incident with the teenager was heated. Morant and his friend struck the boy so hard that he got knocked out and it also left a large knot on the side of his head.

The teenager said to the police, that Morant went inside his house and came out with a gun in the waistband of his pants. But Ja said in an interview with the police that he did all of this in self-defense. ” I swung first,” he said but the boy threw the ball at his head and came in front of him pulling his pants up. The basketballer said, ” The ball was to me the first hit.”

The baller also added that the bot left shouting,” I’m gonna come back and light this place up like fireworks.” Weeks after the incident Morant even filed a case against the boy saying he threatened his family.”

Is Ja Morant in Jail?

No, the All-star basketball player is not in jail currently, because in both of the incidents he was involved didn’t lead to any arrests. 

The case that he filed against the teenager was also declined because the Shelby County District Attorney said in the statement,” The office decided that there was not enough evidence to proceed with a case.”

The incident was also not made public at that time. so the 24-year-old began his season with a blast and led the Grizzlies to the second-best record in the Western Conference.
