Kurtaj, led by Lapsus$ associates, infiltrated the servers and data files of BT and EE. They demanded a substantial ransom.
Although the ransom went unpaid, the duo drew nearly $100000 from cryptocurrency accounts using stolen SIM details from five victims.
Despite initial arrests and subsequent release under investigation in 2022, Kurtaj and his associates continued their hacking spree.
They successfully breached Nvidia, a prominent Silicon Valley tech Giant, stealing and leaking sensitive data while extorting ransom.
