Big Glo was performing at a concert on March 5, last Sunday night, when gunshots were heard, causing the concertgoers to panic. The panic among the people caused them to stampede.
Just after 11 pm at the Main Street Armory, following GloRilla’s performance, the stampede started. A panic sparked by gunfire rumors at a crowded arena in Rochester killed two people and left a third critically injured after a performance by Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla.
The deceased were named as Rhondesia Belton, 33, from nearby Buffalo, who died in hospital after being found injured inside the venue, and Brandy Miller, 35, by the authorities.
One woman was taken to the hospital on Sunday night with serious injuries, according to the police, who reported on Tuesday that she was still in critical condition.
The chief reported that seven more people showed up at hospitals in the area on Sunday night with minor injuries that appeared to result from trampling.
The rapper stated that until she had already left the venue, she was unaware of the incident. She addressed the tragic incident via Twitter, writing,
“I am devastated and heartbroken over the tragic deaths after Sunday’s show.” “My fans mean the world to me… praying for their families and a speedy recovery for everyone affected.”
