He was taken to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with a concussion, 65 stitches for his facial, a broken nose, gum cuts, and four ruined teeth, among other injuries.

Doctors found that a tiny crack around the carbon bike fork had broken, causing the fork to bend and lock up the front wheel without notice.

Hanson had been riding the same bike route with his partner for nearly a decade and had taken precautions to avoid accidents.

Hanson feels fortunate and grateful to the ER personnel who provided top-notch care despite his injuries.

The accident occurred in May 2014, but he has recovered and is now in good health.

Victor Davis is an American Classicist born September 5, 1953, in Fowler, California. He is 69 years old.

He graduated with a B.A. in classics and general college honors from Cowell College at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1975. Then in 1980, he obtained his Ph.D. in classics from Stanford University.

After launching a classical studies program, he taught at California State University, Fresno, for almost two decades until his early retirement in 2004 to focus on his political writing and popular history.

Hanson is of Swedish and Welsh descent and grew up on his grandfather’s raisin farm outside Selma, California, in the San Joaquin Valley.

His family has owned the farm for five generations, ever since his Swedish ancestors first moved there in 1871.

Hanson sees a strong connection between farm life and America’s role in the world.

In June 1977, Hanson tied the knot with Cara Hanson. They have three children: Susannah Merry Hanson, William Frank Hanson, and Pauline Hanson Steinback.
