Tammy Hafenstein Accident Details – What Happened?
Tammy, a 50-year-old woman from Lake Mills, died in a car accident in Horicon, WI, on June 16, 2021.
The incident occurred when a Ford truck, traveling in the opposite direction, crossed the center line and collided with Tammy’s Buick Sedan on HWY 33.
The collision caused Tammy to sustain fatal injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident also injured 12-year-old Sarah Hafenstein in Tammy’s vehicle. Sarah was the youngest child of Tammy. The child was immediately airlifted to the American Family Children’s Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Buick also suffered severe injuries and was transported by air to Aurora Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc for an urgent medical alert.
The driver of the Ford truck, a 44-year-old Horicon resident, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.
The local authorities have investigated the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash. The Police have not yet released any information regarding the possible cause of the accident.
However, according to a press release, the Ford truck may have turned off its lane, causing the tragic collision.

Tammy was born on June 11, 1971, in Columbus, WI, and graduated from Waterloo High School in 1989.
She continued her education at Madison College, obtaining an Associate Degree in Accounting and an Associate in Interior Design.
Tammy was an entrepreneur and started her own painting and interior design Company, Kuhl Painting and Design.
She was also passionate about art and created a Facebook page under Tammy Hafenstein Artist, showcasing her work and sharing her love for the craft.
She spent countless hours professionally and personally drawing, showcasing her talent and creativity.
On June 25, 2021, Tammy’s funeral services were held at St. Paul, Ev. Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, WI, where family, friends, and community members gathered to pay their respects and honor her memory.
After the funeral, Tammy was laid to rest at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Reeseville, WI.
A gathering was held at The Sunset Hill Farm following the burial.

Tammy, the daughter of Lawrence and Shirley Kuhl, has had a life full of love and family.
She met her husband, Brian Hafenstein, during their time at college. In November of 1990, Brian proposed to Tammy on the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center rooftop during a military ball.
Their love story continued to blossom, and on August 31, 1991, they exchanged vows at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, WI.
Tammy and Brian’s marriage has been blessed with four children, Dustin Hafenstein, Danny Hafenstein, Laura Hafenstein, and Sarah Hafenstein, who have undoubtedly brought joy and fulfillment into their lives.
Tammy’s extended family includes her mother-in-law Donna Hafenstein, brother-in-law Brent Hafenstein, and sister-in-law Tracy Gleesing.
Tammy has had to bear the loss of her Father, who passed away on April 8, 2015, and her father-in-law Jerome Hafenstein, who passed away on September 19, 1994.
