Sam Engola Death news is currently making headlines as there is news of him being fatally shot by a UPDF guard at his ressidence. Is the Ugandan politician dead? 

Sam Engola is a politician and businessman from Uganda. In the Ugandan Cabinet at the time, he served as the State Minister for Housing. On May 27, 2011, he was appointed to the position.

Michael Werikhe Kafabusa, who was fired from the Cabinet, was replaced by Engola. After the cabinet switch on March 1, 2015, he kept his position in the cabinet. HE was also chosen to represent “Erute County South” in the Lira District as a member of parliament.

Sam Engola Death – Shot By UPDF Guard

The Sam Angola Death news is now trending after it was revealed that a politician had been shot and killed. However, it turned out that another politician named Charles Okello, who shares the same last name as Engola, was the one who was shot, not Sam.
 
Since they are both political figures and have the same last name, it is possible that people were mistaken. Regarding the fatal incident involving Charles, a UPDF guard shot and killed the 65-year-old Minister of State for Housing, Charles Okello Engola. At the minister’s residence in the Kampala suburb of Kyanja, the UPDF soldier shot the politician.
 
Later, the guard opened fire in the air before killing himself in a nearby salon. Former legislator Latif Ssebagala Sengendo reported that his neighbor, Hort. Okello Engola, had been killed by gunfire. Uncertainty surrounds the murderer’s motivation. However, according to witnesses, the UPDF guard accused the minister of mistreating him.

Engola’s lifeless body was found at his residence, lying in a pool of blood, according to photos taken at the crime scene.

The retired colonel previously held the position of minister of state for defense and served as the Oyam North MP. Engola was in the military and served as the commander of the UPDF 501 Brigade, which had its headquarters in Opit in the Gulu District and participated in the fight against the Lord’s Resistance Army. In 2007, he retired from the military after being elevated to the rank of colonel.

 

The Ugandan businessman was born in Lira District, Uganda, on 15 June 1958. As of 2024, he is 65.

Prior to 1996, he studied at the Institute of Shipping and Management Studies and earned the Diploma in Clearing & Forwarding. He had previously attended local schools.

He received a Diploma in Management & Administration from an unnamed college in 1996. His certificate in leadership and public speaking from the London School of Business and Management was earned in 2008.

He participated in the Constitutional Assembly that developed and adopted the 1995 Ugandan Constitution from 1995 to 1996. From 1995 to 2001, he presided as chairman of Uganda Air Cargo Limited.

Since 2001, he has always served as his district’s representative in the Ugandan parliament. Since 1990, he has had commercial interests in the hotel and travel sectors. Additionally, he belongs to the National Executive Committee of the National Resistance Movement, the party in power.

As for his net worth, he is one of the richest businessman and politicians originating from Uganda. He also has a position among the list of Most popular Politicians.

According to Various Online resources, the renowned politician’s net worth is estimated to be between $1-5 Million as of 2023. He primarily earned money through his business ventures and later as a successful politician.
