American rapper NLE Choppa, named Bryson Lashun Potts, is from Memphis, Tennessee. His 2019 single “Shotta Flow,” certified platinum by the RIAA and reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, launched him to popularity.

His debut extended play (EP), Cottonwood, was released in 2019. On August 7, 2020, NLE Choppa released Top Shotta, his debut studio album, and peaked in the top ten of the U.S. Billboard 200.

On March 29, 2021, a Sunday, NLE Choppa was arrested in Florida Davie town.

According to an arrest complaint reported by the South Florida Sentinel and Memphis’ Fox 13, the rapper NLE Choppa was accused of concealing a handgun, possessing Xanax, possessing marijuana, and breaking into an unoccupied building.

According to Pott’s arrest report, at about 2 am, Potts and another individual were seen on security cameras leaping over a gate while wearing ski masks.

Although the rapper informed Davie Police that he jumped over the fence to retrieve a watch from a car in the tow yard, this was not the case.

NLE Choppa Case Details

The rapper was accused of Burglary of an empty Building, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Possession of Cannabis (20 Grams or Less/Synthetic Cannabis 3 GMs or Less), and Possession of Alprazolam drugs by the Davie Police Department.

According to the report, a Police dispatcher was “monitoring via live camera feed” when they observed two vehicles pull into the tow yard’s parking area, which was locked.

The arresting officer stated that the rapper and the other person “walked around the entire tow yard” after that, and Eventually, the duo got back into their car and drove off. Police stopped them at the tow yard’s parking area.

According to the report, officers spotted the pair sitting on top of two firearms as they exited the car: an AK-47 Draco handgun and a Glock 27 with an extended magazine. No one claimed ownership or knowledge of the loaded guns, even though they were there.

As per the report, police also discovered a backpack containing three and a half Xanax tablets and seven grams of marijuana.

So as you know – requests for a response from a representative of the rapper’s label were not immediately fulfilled. Unverified sources claim he was freed from jail after paying a $4,500 bond.
