Antonio has an interesting story to tell about his childhood as he recalls his brother who saved him from joining gangs. As suggested by the BeSoccer article, Antonio said:

I was slightly out of it while I grew up in Earlsfield, but obviously, I had friends who were in SUK and TZ. But my brother, John, said to me,  ‘Why would you join a gang and have pals just from one gang when you could be friends from all over?”

He said that his brother, John, wasn’t involved in any gangs or anything. Reportedly, his brother was two years senior to him. 

If it had not been Antonio’s brother, he could have led a different lifestyle.

He and his brother grew up in south London. The footballer recalled that he could have ended up joining local gangs SUK (Stick ‘Em Up Kidz) and Terror Zone (TZ), but fortunately, his brother discouraged joining the gang decision.
