Per the reports, the boy was reported missing by a family member to the Suffolk County Police Department. According to the Daily Voice, the child went missing on Monday, March 13, at roughly 5:45 am.
On a bicycle, Mertcan rode away from his Farmingville home on Waverly Avenue overnight on Sunday, March 12. Investigators suspect he might be trying to enter the Bronx, a borough of New York City.
The Farmingville boy was last seen wearing ripped jeans and a dark hoodie, as per the source; he was last seen at Long İsland Rail Road heading to Penn Station.
Moreover, the investigators and the locals are trying to gather information regarding the missing child. Suffolk police are receiving assistance from volunteer community ambassadors passing out flyers.

The missing teenager is 12 years old and from Farmingdale, Long Island. He stands at the height of 5.5 feet and weighs about 150 pounds.
The child has short, dark hair and brown eyes. He has a fair skin tone and is a healthy-looking child. He does have a scar over his eye and wears braces.
Cakmak is a student at Sagamore Middle School, a public school in Holtsville, NY.
