John’s full name is John Walker “Motty” Motson. He started his commentary career in 1971 on BBC. He is also a professional football player who has played for Dulwich Hamlet FC.

Motson was also featured as a commentator for the FIFA video games series by EA Sports and has worked alongside Ally McCoist, Andy Gray and other famous faces.
