Jock Zonfrillo, the renowned Scottish-Australian chef, had a diverse family background.

He was born in Glasgow on 1976 August 4. He was raised in Ayr by his parents, Ivan and Sarah. His mother’s family hailed from Dalmellington, Ayrshire, Scotland, while his Father originated from Scauri, Italy.

His mother worked as a hairdresser, while his Father owned a barber. He also has an older sister Carla.

Along the way, he married three times, and his third wife was Lauren Fried, whom he met on Twitter in October 2014.

They have a son born in February 2018 and a daughter born in October 2020. However, Jock had two daughters from his past marriages.

Jock Zonfrillo Death cause

On April 30, 2023, Zonfrillo, a famous Scottish cook, died at 46 in Melbourne, Australia. Jock’s family confirmed his death on Monday, May 1, and did not disclose the cause of his death.

The Police are currently compiling a report for the coroner and did not find anything strange about his passing.

The body of the MasterChef star was discovered at a hotel on one of Melbourne’s famous streets by the Police at 2 am on Monday.

Jock was a well-known face in the culinary industry, having worked in several high-end restaurants worldwide, including London, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Fans and colleagues of Jock were shocked by his unexpected death. The new season of MasterChef Australia, was supposed to start on Monday night but was canceled because of his death.

The cause of Jock’s death is still not known. And his family has not released any further information about his death.
