As Joey from Friends would say, “Bachelor’s party is a grand tradition.” Everything goes normally; they book a suit, they get dresses and cheers to the groom.

The movie gets interesting when they all wake up the next morning to a chaotic room along with unimaginable things having no memory of the night whatsoever.

They all gather to solve the mystery about “what actually happened,” and that’s where their lives turn upside down.

2. Crazy Rich Asians – 2018

How rich can a person be? What if your boyfriend or girlfriend turns out to be a billionaire? Nick Young and his girlfriend Rachel Chu decided to go to Singapore for Nick’s best friend’s wedding.

Rachel, before departing for the wedding, gets a gist about Nicks’s wealth and questions. Nicks’s family, on the other hand, has different plans for Nicks.

The movie is loaded with comedy and can be a good source of entertainment. All the characters in the movie are hilarious.

3. Shaun Of The Dead – 2004

Did you know zombies can also make you laugh? If you don’t believe me, watch this movie. Shaun’s life is a mess. He doesn’t get along with his stepdad.

One morning Shaun wakes up and goes to do his morning routine. What he didn’t notice is all the humans have turned into zombies.

This movie is packed with funny acting, expressions, and dialogues. Shaun, his friend, and his family try to survive in the zombie apocalypse, and the way they do it makes it one of the funniest movies of all time.

4. American Pie – 1999

Not recommended for the kids. “It’s like a warm blueberry pie” I Hope you have got the gist. Yes, it is an American Sex Comedy loaded with mature and funny content and counted as one of the funniest movies of all time.

High school seniors who are trying to accomplish their own wishes. The story is about five nerds who do crazy and weird things to get their way.

Jim Levenstein doesn’t know what it feels like to have sex while Kevin Meyers tries to lose his virginity to his girlfriend.

One is a drunker; Chris is an overconfident dude leaving out Steven Stifler, the only person among five who is not a virgin.

Between all these relations and wishes, the movie is one of a kind.

5. Spy – 2015

Spy is an action comedy film starring Melissa McCarthy, one of the best comedians in Hollywood. The movie goes like this, Susan Cooper, a CIA employee, assists her partner field agent Bradley on a mission.

However, the mission doesn’t go as planned, and Bradley dies on the mission requiring another field agent to take the mission forward, and that’s where Susan comes in.

This film is something you wouldn’t want to miss if you love comedy movies. Paul has managed to bring out the beauty of comics in every character in this epic film.

6. 21 Jump Street – 2012

Two high school guys meet up in a Police Academy and become friends. So excited to be a cop, both get disappointed with the first task they get and do something crazy and get transferred to “21 Jump Street.”

A movie with little crime and the right amount of comedy is always the best combination. This movie sure makes the list of the funniest movies of all time.

7. The Hangover Part II – 2011

Remember Daug’s bachelor’s party from Hangover? Well, now it’s Stu’s wedding, and it is going to be in Thailand. He travels to the destination and his fiance, three best friends, Doug, Phil, and Alan.

The thing gets a little intense when the bride’s father reveals his disapproval of Stu. Later that night, all four, along with the bride’s brother, get together for a beer and…It happened again.

The next morning they woke up in a dirty hotel room with things they were unknown of. They can’t recall what happened last night; as a result, they go on to find out.

The movie gets interesting and funny as you watch.

8. Due Date – 2010

Star Cast: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis

Another masterpiece from the director of Hangover. In this movie, two strangers meet at the airport, where one gives a lift to the other one.

Peter, starring Robert Downey Jr, has to reach the hospital to his wife because he is about to have a baby.

On the other hand, with his weird sense of being, Ethan causes many problems throughout the journey.

As a result, it makes Peter miserable.

This movie has starred the best actor who made the movie worth watching, and I bet it will leave a good impression on whoever watches it.

9. Grown Ups – 2010

Five childhood basketball buddies get together thirty years later. Their lives have changed; they have gotten married but did they get matured?

All fives plan to go on a vacation with the whole family outside the city. Grown-ups teach their children how to enjoy themselves without technology by themselves acting like one.

From crazy rope swinging to peeing in the pool, they did it all. If you want your children to learn how to have fun, make them watch this movie but be warned, You watch it first.

10. The mask – 1994

I’m sure you might have heard about this movie but have you watched it yet? Starring Jim Carrey, Mask is one of the most epic comedy films of the 90s.

Stanley has a normal life as anyone else. He works at a bank, has an irritating landlady, and he loves his dog. One night he comes across a normal-looking mask that is not like any other regular mask.

Jim Carrey always manages to amaze us with his diverse roles. His acting in Mask is extraordinary, and the film includes a pretty good amount of comedy.

11. The Hangover Part III – 2013

Alright. We went to Doug’s bachelor’s party; we saw Stu’s wedding, now what? This time we are going along with Alan Garner.

So chow escaped from the prison and got away while Alan’s dad passed away from a heart attack caused by Alan’s irresponsible behaviors. Alan’s being sent to a rehabilitation facility along with his best buddies.

The story takes a turn when they all are followed and taken hostage. They later found out who and why they did that.

Again with the same star cast but much more fun and twists, this movie certainly deserves appreciation.

12. Kung Fu Hustle – 2004

People who have watched this movie will always have something nice to say about it. Kung Fu Hustle is a Chinese action-comedy film.

Several gangs rule their own society/community using the best threat at their disposal. The most favorite character for almost everyone who watches it is the landlady Pig Sty Alley.

The movie is very well balanced, using both action and comedy, and I recommend my readers to watch this one out. Kung Fu Hustle is off of those movies; without it, the “Funniest movies of all time” list would be complete.

13. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle – 2017

Star Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan

Yet another one of Dwayne’s action-comedy films. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is another sequel of the original  “Jumanji Franchise.”

Three men, Spencer, Anthony, Bethany, and a woman Martha get sucked inside a video game and appear as characters they chose while playing.

In order to come out of it, however, they must finish the game, which is not easy as it sounds.

The movie is listed in the top 20 funniest movies of all time because of its comic timing, dialogues, and way of delivery are just wow. on top of that, the star cast of the movie are real gems of comedy.

14. The Dictator – 2012

Director:  Larry Charles

Star Cast: Sacha Baron Cohen, Jason Mantzoukas, Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley

The movie is about a brutal dictator who has no mercy on his people, gives the order to decapitate for the slightest mistake.

Aladin, the dictator, plans to travel to new york to address the United Nations Security Council, but his plan goes south after being kidnapped by a hitman who his uncle hired.

Many of us know Sacha’s acting, which is outstanding in making us laugh our stomachs out. Take “Borat” as an example.

\This movie is no less and worth watching. Despite being one of the funniest movies of all time, this movie might not be appropriate for the kids, though.

15. Ted – 2012

Director:  Seth MacFarlane

Star Cast: Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane (Ted’s voice), Mila Kunis

What if one night you wish for something, and the next morning your wish comes true? How amazing would that be, right?

When he was eight years old, John Bennett, the leading character, wished for his Christmas gift, i.e., a teddy bear named Ted, to come to life. The next morning John woke up to a talking teddy bear.

After years, they both are grown-ups and living together.

However, this caused a drastic change in John’s life which he is not appreciating. The movie is a laughter therapy, and I highly recommend it.

16. The Brothers Grimsby – 2016

Director: Louis Leterrier

Star Cast: Sacha Baron Cohen, Mark Strong, Isla Fisher, Rebel Wilson

Two little boys, Nobby and Sebastian, get separated for 28 years.  Nobby has become a sportsperson and living with his girlfriend and his eleven children in these years.

On the other hand, Sabastian has become an MI6 top agent.

Nobby never stops looking for his brother; as a result, he one day finds his location and goes to surprise. Unfortunately, things turn out unimaginably and chaotically.

Sacha once again has nailed the movie with his comic timing and expressions (Voice). In this movie, they both try to run from the mafia and MI6 itself, and the way they do it is hilarious.

17. American Pie 2 – 2001

Star Cast: Jason Biggs, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott

From the American Pie’s series, this is another treat to its audience. After one failed party hosted by Steve Stifler, Kevin throws a massive party.

A group of friends decides to reunite at a beach house in order to have a nice time. Little that they know, things are not going to turn as they have planned.

Since American Pie, things have changed, but they are still tackling to get what they always wanted desperately.

18. You Don’t Mess with the Zohan – 2008

Director:  Dennis Dugan

Star Cast: Adam Sandler, John Turturro, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Nick Swardson

Zohan, played by Adam Sandler, is an Israeli counterterrorist commando. He has superpowers that make him a special soldier.

After serving for many years, he is tired and looking forward to leaving his current lifestyle. He fakes his own death and goes after his lifelong dream to be a hairstylist, but the past doesn’t spare anyone easily.

Adam Sandler is known for his funny roles like Grown-ups, Funny People. You name it. As always, he has made this movie a laughter hub.

19. Yes Man – 2008

From this list of movies, this is my favorite. What would our lives be like if we started saying “Yes” to everything and to everyone? Carl, who is played by Jim Carrey, always finds excuses to exclude himself from everything.

One day he gets invited to the live show called “Yes Man,” and that’s where the movie gets interesting.

We all are fans of Jim’s expressions. This movie is so funny I bet you can’t control your laughter even while watching the trailer.

20. Rush hour – 1998

Starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, this movie is a jackpot.  Detective James Carter loves his job a little too much, causing problems sometimes.

He has been assigned to a mission which he doesn’t seem to handle very well. That is where Detective Inspector Yan Naing Lee joins with him in order to complete the mission.

Dealing with the criminals the way they do will leave you with pain from all the laughing in your stomach. Not to mention Chris’s character in every movie, which is loved by almost all.

21. National Lampoon’s Vacation – 1983

No list of the “funniest movies of all time” is completed without National Lampoon’s Vacation name on it.

A story about Clark Griswold and his family when he decided to go out on vacation to an LA amusement park.

The thing doesn’t always go as planned, and the same happened with them.

This 90s movie is one of the best comedy films of all time. You don’t have to wait for the laughter to get going because it starts when the movie starts.

22. 30 Minutes or Less – 2011

Starting with Nick Davis, a normal pizza delivery boy in a pizza center, the slogan of which is “30 minutes or less”.

On the other hand, buddies Dwayne Mikowlski and Travis Cord are planning to rob a bank, but they want someone else to do it, so they came up with a plan to hire a guy to do it.

Nick is forcefully wearing a bomb jacket, and he has 9 hours to rob the bank else the bomb will go off. This is an action-comedy movie that makes this list.

23. Deadpool – 2016

Alright, I know. Why Deadpool is among the funniest movies of all time, you would ask. While many people consider it an action film, it is impossible to ignore the fun and comic twists of the movie.

Wade Wilson, who has cancer, and Ajax, a twisted scientist who wants to experiment on Wade in order to cure cancer. However, the experiment goes south, and as a result, Deadpool is born.

Although the movie is filled with action, we get to see a fine comedy along with it.

24. Johnny English – 2003

Johnny English is a spy comedy film starring Rowan Atkinson as the lead character. English is an MI7 employee working a desk job while dreaming of being their most trusted agent.

He acts really smart, but the consequences of his action always result in making him look dumb.

This movie is from the Johny English Series. Watching Rowan Atkinson act dumb is not gonna be the first time for many, but I’m sure you will enjoy every bit of it.

Usually, when we hear intern, we visualize immature, young, and student (Most of the time). But this time, something is different.

A retired 70 years old Ben Whittaker, played by Robert De Niro, feels he is not the kind of man who enjoys retirement. Hence, he joins as an intern at an e-commerce fashion startup.

Working as an intern and the people who are senior yet younger in age would be something. This might be one of the sophisticated comedies which are worth a watch.

26. Central Intelligence – 2016

Director: Rawson Marshall Thurber

Star Cast: Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Amy Ryan, Aaron Paul

Bob Stone, played by Dwayne Johnson, is an obese guy who gets bullied in the middle of a speech being given by Calvin “The Golden Jet.”

Calvin helps Bob get up and gives his jacket to cover. After a few years, Calvin is being bullied by a gang at a bar that’s where a really tough-looking guy walks in and saves him. It turns out he is Bob Stone.

Bob appears as a rough CIA agent who drags Calvin into his mess which eventually changes their lives. I don’t need to tell you about Kevin and Dwayne’s chemistry. When they both meet, you have no option but to laugh.

27. Get Smart – 2008

Director: Peter Segal

Star Cast: Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, Alan Arkin

Maxwell is an analyst in CONTROL, a top-secret American intelligence agency.

He works hard to become a field agent, but he is denied the promotion despite his high scores acceptance test because the agency doesn’t want to lose a top analyst like him.

In a terrorist attack, however, the identity of all the secret agents is exposed. Maxwell then gets promoted as a field agent.

The movie gets more interesting from here as they all try to stop a mafia from executing their chaotic plan. The Star cast of the movie is just awesome; as a result, the movie is an outstanding comedy treat.
