Duncan Robinson was born on April 22, 1994, to his parents Elisabeth Robinson and Jeffrey Robinson. However, there is not much information about his parents or their occupation.

Robinson was born and grew up in Maine. Despite not being highly recruited out of high school, he started his college career at Williams College, a Division III school. 

Duncan led Williams to the national championship game in his freshman year, averaging 17.1 points per game and shooting 45.6% from beyond the arc. After transferring to Michigan, he played under coach John Beilein for three seasons.

Robinson was a reliable shooter and solid role player for the Wolverines, helping them reach two Big Ten tournament titles and one NCAA tournament final. 2018 he was named the Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year.

He set multiple NBA rookie records for three-pointers made in a season and emerged as a key contributor off the bench for Miami.

Robinson’s sophomore season in the NBA, during the 2019-2020 campaign, was a breakout year for him. He became a regular starter for the Heat and played a crucial role in the team’s run to the NBA Finals.

Since then, Robinson has established himself as one of the league’s premier shooters. His shooting ability, size, and mobility make him a valuable asset for the Heat’s offense.
