Doyle went missing on January 26, 2023, from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he went duck hunting on a 16-foot john boat with a friend whose name has not been revealed yet.

According to the U.S. Sun, the missing duck hunter apparently called a friend to say that his boat was having motor issues and was taking on water when he was last seen setting out duck decoys at the north jetties.

As per the boater’s brother, tiktok @Reed_Doyle, where he mentioned that he talked to the boy who was with Tyler and was saved by the rescue team, and the boy said that the duck hunter left him on the jetty rocks and then the waves got up due to which water got on the back of the boat’s motor and took the missing boater along with the boat.
