Drew Beam sister is Carlee Beam, a 15-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) at an early age.

This condition has left her wheelchair-bound since childhood, significantly impacting not only her life but also the lives of Drew’s family.

In an interview, Drew mentioned that purple represents SMA, so he used the opportunity to be aware of his sister’s illness by wearing purple baseball gloves.

Drew revealed that Carla’s condition has advanced to a stage where new medications may not significantly slow down the muscle deterioration caused by SMA.

But,  Drew believes that by raising awareness and funds, children born with SMA can have early access to these medications, potentially leading to life-changing improvements for those affected.

Drew Beam parents revealed

Drew Beam’s parents are Jason Beam and Kelli Beam, both originally from Tennessee. They have strong educational backgrounds, as both of them attended the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Jason holds the position of President at Implant Solutions LLC, a company located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

On the other hand, Kelli serves as the Vice President of Membership Development for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, where she has been employed for more than 15 years.

Drew’s parents have had a significant impact on his life and achievements. His parents have instilled in him a strong work ethic and determination to succeed. 

They have been there for him through thick and thin, cheering him on at every game and supporting him through every challenge.

Their support and encouragement have undoubtedly helped him achieve his goals and become the successful athlete he is today.

Drew Beam ethnicity revealed

Drew Beam’s ethnicity is unknown, however, many fans speculate that he may be of white ethnicity. Drew Beam was born on February 14, 2003, and hails from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. 

During his time at Blackman High School, Drew showcased his athletic prowess by excelling in both football and baseball.

Notably, as a sophomore, he achieved an impressive 8-1 record and a remarkable 0.37 earned run average (ERA) on the baseball field.

Driven by his passion for the sport, Drew made an early commitment to play baseball for the University of Tennessee before his junior year of high school.

Unfortunately, his junior season was shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and he faced a setback in his senior season due to an injury.

However, Drew’s determination and resilience shone through, earning him a spot in Tennessee’s starting rotation as a freshman.

He quickly made a name for himself by delivering an outstanding performance, pitching a complete-game shutout against Vanderbilt, a highly-ranked opponent, on April 3, 2022.

This earned him the titles of SEC Pitcher of the Week and Freshman of the Week. By the end of the season, Drew was named SEC Freshman of the Year and second-team All-Conference.

Drew’s determination and hard work have helped him overcome obstacles and achieve great success as a college baseball pitcher.

He continues to be a valuable player for the Tennessee Volunteers, and his future in baseball looks bright.
