On November 24, 2022, Cole Cooper, an 18-year-old driver, was in a terrible car crash. His car hit a hard fence on South Duck Creek Road, where the accident happened.

The accident happened around 10:30 pm, when Cole was heading north on South Duck Creek, according to the police. The young driver may have lost control of his car because the roads were wet and slippery. The car then went off the road and hit a guardrail on a bridge.

Even though time has passed, he is still getting better slowly and hasn’t fully woken up. He has been moved to a different hospital to get more expert care.

Unfortunately, his insurance policy doesn’t cover the new facility. This adds to Cooper’s family’s financial stress during this challenging time.

Cole Cooper Accident Details – What Happened To Him? 

Cole, 18 years old at the time, was in a scary car accident on northbound South Duck Creek that left him fighting for his life.

He sadly lost control of the car while driving, which caused it to crash into a guardrail. The impact was so strong that a piece of the guardrail went through the passenger window and into the car’s center, causing much damage.

It took emergency services 30 minutes to get him out of the car. The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on northbound South Duck Creek.

The boy was in a car about to fall into deep water in the creek, so firefighters slowly pulled him out.

Cole was not moving when the rescuers got there. He was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital by paramedics and put in the Intensive Care Unit immediately.

The medical staff put him into a coma and began treating his broken leg, punctured lung, and bleeding in the brain. Cole has undergone two surgeries on his leg, one to help him breathe better and two on his brain.

The journey to recovery will be difficult, but Cole’s medical team remains committed to providing him with the best possible care and support during this challenging time.

Cole is blessed with a loving and supportive family consisting of his parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents, although their specific names are unknown.

During this challenging time, his family is dedicated to providing for his well-being and recovery.

Cole was in a car accident and was taken to the hospital. His family gathered around him and gave him constant support and encouragement when he was there. His relatives and the local community work together to help the Cooper family.

In a heartwarming gesture, students can write letters to Cooper, offering their well-wishes and hope for his speedy recovery. These letters can be delivered to Dr. Stichler’s office, where Cole’s family will collect them.

Dozens of students and community members united in prayer, collectively hoping for his complete recovery.

Hayley Millsaps has taken the initiative to organize a GoFundMe campaign to provide financial support for Cole’s treatment.

The campaign has already raised $13,565 as of the time of writing this article. The campaign’s page also serves as a platform for the family to provide updates on Cole’s health journey.

In a report from December 8, 2022, it was said that he was getting better. He is now breathing independently and is no longer in a coma.

Shortly, he will be transferred to a Long-Term Traumatic Brain Injury institution where he will receive continuous, specialized care.

Undoubtedly, he has already successfully undergone five surgical procedures.

A more recent update on April 15 indicated that his recovery is slowly but steadily progressing. Though technically not awake, he has transitioned to a new facility where he feels more comfortable.
