Byron Richmond Incidents 2023
At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, emergency responders were dispatched to an incident on the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 in Blackwell involving four vehicles.
Authorities revealed that the initial vehicle was travelling in the wrong direction on the highway and collided head-on with the second vehicle.
The third vehicle impacted the passenger side of the second vehicle, and the fourth vehicle swerved to avoid the collision, ultimately crashing into the cable barrier.
Regrettably, the driver of the first vehicle, identified as Byron Richmond by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, was pronounced dead at the accident site.
A memorial to honour Byron’s life was scheduled for Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, commencing at 10 a.m.
The event took place at Crossings Church, situated at the Edmond Covell location, specifically at 1500 W. Covell Rd., Edmond, OK 73003.
