The answer of this question is No. First Lady Amy Eshleman is not Jewish. The rumors about her being a Jewish can be heard all over the internet but it is  actually baseless.

Neither Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot nor First Lady Amy Eshleman has confirmed to be Jewish. The couple has tried to stay out of any controversies related to religion as it can might affect their next campaign.

However, we can’t help but wonder how did the rumor started? The answer to this question is also very simple. The couple were part of a vaccination program for the Holocaust survivors in North parknin 2021.

Jewish United Fund of Chicago, a forum for Jewish people in Chicago, were also part of the event and they thanked the Mayor and the first lady. Thus, the rumor started.

People started speculating and as the couple didn’t come out to  accept or deny the rumors, it spreaded more. Their silence became the fuel the rumor needed to spread more.

Although it won’t be appropriate to totally deny the speculation. With the information we have right now, they surely aren’t jewish but they haven’t come out to deny the rumors yet.

For all we know, they can be of any religion or atheist. They haven’t shared any information regarding their religious beliefs. So it is normal for their followers to speculate.

As the couple are together for more than two decades now, their age also raises eye brows as both of them does not look that aged.

Lori Lightfoot was born on August 4, 1962 and she is 60 years old. She belongs to the Democratic party and has a long political career.

She went to University of Michigan to receive her bachelor of Art in 1984 and later received Jurist Doctor from University of Chicago. 

She also served as the President of the Chicago Police Board from May 2015 to May 2018 and was succeeded by Ghaian Foreman.

Her Wife, Amy Eshleman is was born in 1972 and she is  50 years old now. she and Lori has a age gap pf 10 years but it hasn’t affected their fruitful relationship in anyway. 

The beautiful is still going strong and we expect Amy to be by the side of Lori in her upcoming political Adventure.

Lori and Amy were married on June 1, 2014. This isnthe same day same sex marriage became legal in Illinois.

” You want certain things for yourself, and falling in love and having a family and doing those things felt really important to us, ” Eshleman told Chicago Tribune.

The couple also has a daughter, Vivian. The couple consider Vivian a blessing of their lives. She is around 18 years old now.
