Charles, nicknamed Do Bronx, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist. But who is Charles Oliveira Brother, Hermison Oliviera? 

He is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who previously held the title of UFC Lightweight Champion.

In addition, he holds the rank of a 3rd-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Oliveira began learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu when he was young and won many championships. Later, he switched to MMA in 2007.

He now fights in the UFC’s Lightweight division, where he was once the UFC Lightweight Champion.

The fighter has set various UFC records, such as having the most submission wins at 16 and the most finishes at 19 in the organization’s history.

As of May 14, 2023, Oliveira holds the first position in the UFC lightweight rankings and is at number eight in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings.

Charles has a younger brother, Hermison Oliveira, a skilled MMA fighter participating in CFC competitions. 

Nicknamed The Chosen One, he is currently ranked 86th in the active Brazil Pro Flyweights.

He is affiliated with a mixed martial arts gym Insanis MMA 013, in Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil.

Hermiston, three years younger than his UFC star brother, makes his debut in the LFA cage in Caraguatatuba, Sao Paulo, where he faces off against Junior Assis.

Following in his brother’s footsteps, he is a highly skilled martial artist who became a flyweight champion. 

Charles Oliveira brother has won nine games, lost 6, and needs to be more adequate for two matches. Additionally, his recent win was against Cicero Vitorino da Silva.

Charles Oliveira Parents – who are they?

Oliveira was born into a low-income family in the slum of Vicente de Carvalho, located in the town of Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil.

The UFC Champion was born on October 17, 1989, to his mother, Ozana Oliveira, and father, Mr. Oliviera.

Although, his father’s name has not been made public as the MMA fighters were raised by their mother. But their uncle Paulo, who they consider their father, introduced them to jiu-jitsu.

Paulo wanted a prosperous future for the Oliveira brothers, so he went on to talk to the jiu-jitsu teacher to provide them with scholarships, as he couldn’t afford the training.

Charles and his brother Herman got the scholarships as well.

Meanwhile, Do Bronx’s mother was a cleaner who used to sell food on the street and didn’t know much about the sport.

The rise to fame despite their poor childhood shows how dedicated the brothers are and how they have struggled to become their best in the field.

The UFC lightweight champion still resides in Vincente de Carvalho near the house he grew up. He takes his background as a source of pride.

Although he is a popular figure, he doesn’t see himself as a celebrity but as an average person who thinks of helping others as he has been supported.

He says he still lives near his old house to live within the community, which makes him feel good and belong.

The marshal artist further adds he is aware of his roots and has a clear vision of his goals.

However, he adds that aiming for more incredible things does not mean one needs to distance oneself from where one comes from.

The player also emphasized that maintaining a positive presence in his hometown is important to him.

He is very grateful for his life at present and says, “Imagine a boy who came from a poor community, the doctors said that he couldn’t play sports, and look where I am now,”
