Oliveira was born into a low-income family in the slum of Vicente de Carvalho, located in the town of Guarujá, São Paulo, Brazil.
The UFC Champion was born on October 17, 1989, to his mother, Ozana Oliveira, and father, Mr. Oliviera.
Although, his father’s name has not been made public as the MMA fighters were raised by their mother. But their uncle Paulo, who they consider their father, introduced them to jiu-jitsu.
Paulo wanted a prosperous future for the Oliveira brothers, so he went on to talk to the jiu-jitsu teacher to provide them with scholarships, as he couldn’t afford the training.
Charles and his brother Herman got the scholarships as well.
Meanwhile, Do Bronx’s mother was a cleaner who used to sell food on the street and didn’t know much about the sport.
The rise to fame despite their poor childhood shows how dedicated the brothers are and how they have struggled to become their best in the field.
