According to the reports, the John F. Slater Funeral Home at Brownsville Road held his funeral.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 12 pm-8 pm and Monday, February 13, 2023, from 2 pm to 8 pm.

The funeral hall will be filled with only the people invited. No public is permitted to attend the program.

According to the Amie Downs spokeswoman from Allegheny County, only the McKeesport Police Department, the law enforcement escort, and the family will be present for the funeral procession, cemetery and grave site ceremony.

Obituary: Sean Sluganski Age and Death Cause

Sean Slunganski was 32 when he was shot and killed during his duty. Gunshots were fired at two policemen looking for an individual facing a mental health crisis.

Sean was transported to UPMC McKeesport after getting hit by a gunshot. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Another officer who was also shot was taken to the hospital in Pittsburgh via helicopter.

There is no information about where he got shot and died. Despite not having information, we can say that he was shot in a fatal place, leading to his death.

What Happened To McKeesport Police Officer Sean

The day Sean died, according to the Allegheny County Police Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 12:11 p.m. related to a domestic disturbance.

According to police, they were informed about an armed person experiencing a mental health crisis.

After receiving the reports, the police attempted to engage with the suspect, but he walked away from the police without interacting with them.

According to the criminal, a person name Jonathan Jermia Moris is responsible for the shooting and lives in McKeesport and is 31 years.

The Criminal stated that Morris told the witness that the police were trying to kill him. He moved to 1300 Grandview avenue.

After reaching there, the officer also responded to the call and saw him standing there at 1300 Grandview avenue and without warning, the guy started shooting the two police officers.

In that shoot, Sean was caught by the bullet and was rushed to the hospital, where he had his last breath.

In Versailles Avenue, the suspect who shot Sean and his partner Charles Thomas was confronted by a third policeman.

He again pulled out the pistol and started firing, but the gunshot hit the suspect in cross-firing.

Morris is being held accountable for criminal homicide, first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer and aggravated assault.
