According to his LinkedIn profile, Meade started his job at UCF in January 2015. For the past decade, several posts have surfaced on Reddit related to his teaching style and classes.
Professor Travis Meade And Hello Kitty Girl’s Alleged Scandal Began On Reddit
The rumor of the UCF professor and his TA began on Reddit. On 21 October 2024, one of the Redditors asked why Meade was fired.
“Why was Professor Travis Meade fired? Just curious if anyone knows the actual reason because I have heard a few rumors and I wanna know what happened. (I really like tea lol).”
Comments began flooding in within a few hours.
“I would be in class and his girlfriend (or it looked like that) was the TA. She would come up to him after class take his jacket put it on and just be attached to him…,” alleged an online user.
Moreover, the following day, another Redditor shared videos and photos allegedly showing Professor Meade and the Hello Kitty Girl.
The teaching assistant is seen in a girly dress, including a short dress and a red bow.
In many of the photos, the man purported to be Meade is shown touching the TA, like holding her by the arm while walking and helping her with her dress.
Other photos showed Hello Kitty notes on Professor Meade’s office door.
One note read “Happy 43rd Birthday Daddie” and was signed “Kaylee.” Many netizens alleged that the TA gave those cards to the CS professor.
The teaching assistant is called “Hello Kitty Girl” because of her girly outfit and those cards. Discord messages, supposedly from the Hello Kitty TA, also leaked online.
They claimed Professor Meade left UCF for a better job at another school.

It has also been claimed that the TA is engaged and she is cheating on him with the professor.
However, an X user said that the TA’s fiance is Professor Meade himself.

At the same time, other people are claiming that the TA’s fiance (now ex-partner) is someone else and that man was reportedly arrested recently.
