Lorenz replied to Levine through her Twitter handle, saying,
“You people will fall for any dumba– edit someone makes,”
Taylor admitted it was real and insisted it was a joke. Lorenz told,
I never ‘denied it was real,’”
There had been speculation online that Taylor was making an unclear reference to musician Lucy Dacus, who called former President Obama a “war criminal” on social media last year.
According to Fox News, the post was made in an Instagram story using the close friends feature.
Previously, NPR reported that four people with direct knowledge of the post confirmed its authenticity.
