Originally hailing from Kennewick, Washington, Jamie (formerly Richards) made a name for herself as the reserve collegiate barrel racing champion for Lewis-Clark State College in 1998, contributing to her school’s victory in the women’s team category.
Despite the passage of time, Jamie’s passion for rodeo remains unwavering. She has always been dedicated to competing in barrel racing events, proclaiming, “I never quit rodeo. I’ve always run barrels.”
The Steiner family, including their 17-year-old son Rocker, who is rising as a promising bareback rider, currently resides in Weatherford, Texas.
They are actively involved in breeding bucking horses and barrel racing horses as part of their livelihood.
