In the exciting world of ice hockey, the Subban family has left a special mark. Leading the way is Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman, and right alongside him are the PK Subban brothers, Malcolm and Jordan Subban.

Pernell-Karl Sylvester Subban, known as P.K. Subban, is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman.

He played 13 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, and New Jersey Devils between 2009 and 2022.

The former player was drafted by the Canadiens in 2007 and won the Norris Trophy for the league’s top defenseman in 2013.

He signed an eight-year, $72 million contract with Montreal in 2014 before being traded to Nashville in 2016.

He spent three seasons with the Predators before joining New Jersey in 2019. Subban retired in 2022 and is now a broadcast analyst for the NHL on ESPN.

P.K., renowned for his exceptional career as a Norris Trophy-winning defenseman, boasts a remarkable hockey lineage with two equally talented brothers, Malcolm and Jordan Subban, who have also made a significant impact on the professional ice hockey scene.

One of P.K. Subban’s brothers is Jordan-Carmichael Subban. He was born on March 3, 1995, and he plays as a defenseman in ice hockey. The Vancouver Canucks picked him in the fourth round (115th overall) during the 2013 NHL Entry Draught.

He played really well for different teams, including the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League.

Even though he doesn’t have a team right now, his journey shows that he’s strong and has a lot of potential. He’s the youngest of the Subban brothers to be chosen to play in the NHL.

Another talented brother is Malcolm Jamaal Justin Subban. He’s a professional ice hockey goalie for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Boston Bruins chose him in the first round (24th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draught.

He dedicated extensive practise time and honed his skills during his tenure with the Belleville Bulls in the Ontario Hockey League. His commitment to excelling as an NHL goalie is evident.

PK Subban Parents

PK was born in Toronto on May 13, 1989. His parents both moved to Ontario from the Caribbean in the 1970s.

His father, Karl, relocated from Jamaica to Sudbury, while his mother, Maria, came from Montserrat to Hamilton.

The athlete grew up in the Rexdale neighbourhood of Toronto and has four siblings: two sisters named Nastassia and Natasha, and two brothers named Jordan and Malcolm.

Although he grew up in Toronto, P.K. always had a dream to play for the Montreal Canadiens from a young age. He looked up to Jean Beliveau, a legendary figure for the Canadiens.

The Canadian former professional ice hockey defenseman’s parents, Karl and Maria Subban, immigrated to Canada from the Caribbean and settled in Ontario, where P.K. and his siblings were born.

As a child in Toronto, I idolised the Montreal Canadiens, especially Jean Beliveau, despite growing up away from Montreal. His father, Karl, worked as a school principal before retiring.

The former professional ice hockey athlete was one of six children, with two sisters and two brothers, including his younger brothers Malcolm and Jordan, who also became hockey players.
