The Nigerian politician has a strong academic background. He completed his secondary education at a Catholic secondary school for males only, Christ the King College, Onitsha (CKC), also referred to as CKC Onitsha or Amaka Boys, which is located in Onitsha, Nigeria.
The leader afterwards received admission to the University of Nigeria, where he later earned a B.A. (Hons.) in philosophy in 1984. It was Nigeria’s first independently run university and was based on the US educational system.
The former banker’s parents, however, did not neglect their child’s education, as evidenced by the fact that, as of February 2014, his secondary school was the best high school in Nigeria and placed 36th among the top 100 high schools in Africa.
