Gavin stated, ‘I asked if there was an accident there, and they responded ‘yes’. Around 3:50 p.m., according to the Kentucky State Police, an accident occurred close to the 300 block of Bypass Road.

In their reflections on her life, Gracie’s parents, Gena and Mike, and her boyfriend, JJ Gavin, agreed that she was someone you could always count on to brighten your day.

‘She was truly just an old soul, and I believe this was both her first mission’, Gena Prater, Gracie’s mother, said.

Gracie was an only child, and her parents claimed that they genuinely thought of her as an angel.

I honestly feel that she was just sent to me by the grace of God, and the only way I can bear with this occurring is that God knew what he was doing, said Gena. It took me six years to obtain her, and I had four miscarriages.

Gracie’s family claims that she taught them a great deal and that they could always count on her for support and direction.

I’m overwhelmed with everything; I’m happy that she made an impact on people’s lives, and I know she protected me a lot, said Gena.
