Marissa Haque, an Indonesian actress and politician, tragically lost her life at the age of 61 on October 2, 2024.
She didn’t suffer from any severe health issues but passed away in her sleep at Bintaro Premiere Hospital in South Tangerang, Banten.

Marissa Grace Haque, the eldest of the Haque family, was of French, Dutch, Madurese, and Pakistani descent.
She used to sing and dance during her free time in Guruh Sukarnoputra’s studio, Swara Mahardika, and in 1980, M.T. Risyaf, a film director, offered her a role in Kembang Semusim.
She appeared as Lia in Sophan Sophian’s 1984 film Tinggal Landas Buat Kekasih, which earned her the Citra Award as Best Supporting Actress.
She also portrayed her remarkable acting skills in the 1986 film Biarkan Bulan itu.
Afterward, she joined politics as a People’s Representative Council member in 2004 from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).
Similarly, she was also a member of the United Development Party and National Mandate Party.
Marissa Haque Lost consciousness at her home
Marissa Haque didn’t have any history of illness or health issues before her tragic demise. She didn’t complain about any discomfort and showed signs of sickness.
According to her sister, Soraya Haque, she passed away suddenly without displaying any prior symptoms of illness.

The Indonesian actress collapsed unexpectedly at home and wasn’t moving. Her husband, Ikang Fawzi, found her first unconscious.
Later, her family rushed her to the hospital to confirm her condition, but she lost her life in sleep in South Jakarta.
The hospital confirmed her demise and gave de*th certificate.
So as usual, we do our activities, then go home, then at night we meet in the upper room, and according to information, my sister is no longer moving.
Marissa’s tragic demise shocked her family, and her body was buried at the Pelangi Bintaro funeral home.
Sarayo added,
Nothing. It’s okay to be active and so on, this is what shocked everyone. So I think maybe this is called death.
Furthermore, she was traumatized by her political career.
