Flock was detained in December 2021 after allegedly killing someone close to a barbershop. Details of a homicide case were discovered on the NYPD’s Twitter page, along with a hazy screenshot from CCTV footage, according to reports that the incident occurred in the same month.

On Manhattan’s Amsterdam Avenue, the incident took place. According to the police, he entered the barbershop and confronted Oscar Hernandez, DJ Akademiks wrote in a tweet.

The pair argued after this, and then they left the store. Flock shot Hernandez in the neck and back while aiming his gun at him, worsening the situation.

A week after the shooting, he was detained on suspicion of first-degree murder and illegal firearm possession. Up until the indictment, the 19-year-old rapper was kept in state custody. He has since been moved to a federal jail, where he and five other Sev Side gang members are being charged with further crimes.

Even though he is battling a murder accusation, Kay Flock has offered his supporters some cause for optimism by suggesting that he might be released from prison very soon.

A TikTok user shared a film of the Bronx native giving someone a phone call on Tuesday (December 6), in which the rapper can be heard yelling out his buddies and revealing that he might be released in 2023.

If found guilty of all charges, the rapist could be sentenced to life in jail.

Kevin Perez, the rapper’s given name, was born on April 20, 2003, in the Bronx, New York. Later, he called the neighborhood where he was raised “dangerous.”

He claimed in an interview with XXL that King Von and Pop Smoke were the inspirations for his rapping, while Asian Doll claimed that Von would have liked Kay Flock.

With Dougie B, Cardi B, and Bory300, Kay Flock released “Shake It” in April 2022; it reached number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was leaked months before, but Mula Gzz, a rapper from Yonkers, had a verse that had since been replaced by Cardi’s.
