Filmmaker James Wan, who was born in Kuching, married actress Ingrid Bisu after more than ten months of engagement.

To share the happy news, the filmmaker shared a picture of himself and his Romanian-German bride on Instagram.

He captioned it,

The 37-year-old Bisu posted the identical image on her Facebook page along with the brief caption, “Officially married!!!”

She has subsequently changed her name to Ingrid Wan to suit her new status.

Ingrid Bisu is a Romanian actress, producer, and playwright best known for her role as Pier Waitress in the film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Ingrid was born in Bucharest, Romania’s capital, and went to the esteemed German College “Goethe.”

She began acting in college and won the first audition she attended for a global commercial with more than 300 females.

In 2003, at the age of sixteen, Bisu appeared in her first picture session for the adolescent magazine Cool Girl.

She then appeared in her first Orange S.A. Mobile advertisement, which was shown in Romania and Israel.

Additionally, Bisu debuted in the Romanian television series Căsătorie de Probă, which translates to “Marriage of Probation.”

She then appeared in several Romanian magazines and was interviewed on television.

In addition, Bisu played Sister Oana in the horror movie The Nun, a spinoff of The Conjuring 2 in which she met James Wan, her future husband.

Similarly, Malignant, her first collaborative creative and behind-the-scenes effort with husband James Wan, was written, executive produced and had a supporting part in 2021.
