Since then, she has entered a not-guilty plea to 21 felony counts, including possession of child sexual abuse materials and indecent conduct against a minor.

National City Police report that a worried mom called them because she thought her 13-year-old son was having an improper connection with a former instructor.
Following an investigation, officers found probable cause to arrest Jacqueline Ma, 34.
Jacqeline Ma Has Got The Teacher of the Year Award
According to her Teacher of the Year article in the San Diego Union-Tribune, Ma, who is 35-year-old, has been a teacher in the district since 2013 and has earned a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in biology from UC San Diego.
The San Diego County Office of Education announced the prize last year.
According to her coworkers at the time, she played a key role in assisting Lincoln Acres Elementary in acclimating to using technology in the classroom.
At the time, educator Cynthia Valle-Lone remarked,
“I could not have survived without her when it came to virtual learning.”

Jacqueline Ma, the former National City teacher accused of sexually assaulting her children, has been given a trial date.
After a preliminary hearing in late 2023, the South Bay judge presiding over the case ruled that there was sufficient evidence to support a trial.
Prosecutors displayed extensive texts that Ma reportedly sent to the victims during this trial, including many ones that discussed s*xual interactions.

“When she was arrested, she had a photograph of the victim in her wallet, she had jewelry with his initials, love letters were discovered in her classroom,”
She was upset with the youngster for not reacting to the issue more quickly in a few of the messages.
Moreover, she showed jealousy when the victim was interacting with other girls.
