Jack Ginnivan Parents are from a football background, and his father, Craig Ginnivan, is a coach. Jack is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Collingwood FC and Australian Football League.

Jack was the first Newstead Football Netball club player drafted to the AFL. Before, he played under 12s with Newstead in 2014 under his father’s coaching, Craig Ginnivan. In the first year of joining NFNC, he was awarded MVP, had 199 goals, and was a runner-up for the league’s Best and Fairest award.

Jack also played seven under-15 games that Neil Boyack coached. Coach Boyack stated that Jack is hard working, a quick decision maker, skillful, and a competitive footballer. He said it was a pleasure to have Jack in the team led by him, and other boys followed Jack’s path and learned a lot from him.

The player’s height is 5 feet and 9 inches, and he weighs about 78 kilograms, as reported by Draftcentral. Jack was born on 9th December 2003, and his nationality is Australian as he is native to Australia.

Although the father is a well-known personality, the mother’s identity is still unknown. Craig once said he did not want his son to break the record he holds sarcastically.

However, things are pretty messed up now, and he has been suspended from two seasons of the Australian Football League after he admitted to using illicit substances. The AFL found Jack guilty of conduct unbecoming after they found a video of him with an illegal substance about a month ago in Torquay.

The public took the footage during Collingwood preseason camp. He has also been banned for two preseason matches from Collingwood. The 20-year-old player has to pay a fine of $5000 to AFL, which under his conduct, constitutes a notifiable adverse finding on illegal drug policy.

Collingwood also connected with AFL’s integrity unit about the incident last Thursday. Jack admitted his action and said he wanted to take ownership of the video, which showed him with illicit substances. Jack expresses his feelings about how sorry Jack likes to say to everyone for his behavior.

Ginnivan mentioned how sad he was to his parents and Collingwood football family, who always supported him in the game or out of the field. Ginnivan also apologizes to club members, fans, sponsors, and AFL for their poor decision that impacted.

The general manager of Collingwood, Mr. Graham Wright, said that the club was disappointed about Jack’s behavior. He stated that they would closely look after Ginnivan, who accepted his action and provided the support and continuing education he will need to continue the journey at Collingwood.

Jack Ginnivan Career Details

Jack played many under 13, 14.5, and 17 games at his young age, surprising everyone with his incredible skills and hardworking attitude. Ginnivan started his Australian Football League career in 2021, and the year was his debut on the season as he was drafted by Collingwood as a rookie draft and was picked in the 13th position.

After 11 goals in three matches on VFL, he made his debut against Port Adelaide at 19. He played five games, scoring six goals. In 2022, on his tenth career game, he won the game with five goals kicked by him, won the Anzac Medal as the best on the ground, and also got nominated for the Rising Star.
