In a recent Instagram video, popular actor Shemar shared personal news with his fans. The actor disclosed that he had recently undergone surgery to address bunions on his left foot.
The video, posted on May 16, showcased the actor sitting comfortably on a couch, accompanied by his podiatrist, Dr. Robert J. Joseph II. Even though he had surgery, he seemed happy as he happily showed off the bandages helping him heal.
Providing further insight into the surgery, Dr. Joseph explained that the operation was necessary because one of his toes tended to bend inward, causing discomfort.
This condition, Hallux limitus, was due to a subluxated joint. To fix the issue, the doctor had to realign the misaligned bone and secure it in place using screws.
Before the surgery, Shemar had to wear a pad to remove the pain from the bone sticking out. With the successful completion of the surgery, the Criminal Minds actor is now on the path to a speedy recovery.

Shemar Moore Health Update
According to information from the well-known Cleveland Clinic, the average healing time for people with surgery to fix a bunion lasts between six weeks and three months as the bones slowly heal.
Considering this, Shemar, the actor, is expected to experience a slow and gradual recovery.
In addition to this foot surgery, he tested positive for COVID on December 24, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the diagnosis, he reassured his fans that he was feeling fine. Initially, he believed that he had fallen ill due to food poisoning, but the COVID-19 diagnosis explained the simultaneous symptoms of chills and aches.
Looking back on 2020, it’s clear that Shemar had a hard time there. Aside from fighting the pandemic, he lost his mother, a former school teacher Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore, in February.
He openly shared his feelings about his mother’s multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis 1998.
Moore made a positive statement after suffering the difficulties of contracting and recovering from COVID-19. He said he was free of the virus and ready to return to the set.

His parents are Sherrod Moore and Marilyn Wilson. Sherrod, his father, hailed from an African-American background, while Marilyn, his mother, was born in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, with Irish and French-Canadian ancestry.
