Is Rashid Khan Muslim? Afghan cricketer is a Muslim and also posts celebrating the Muslim festival on his social media pages. He serves as the squad captain for Afghanistan in T20 international matches.

He bats right-handed and throws right-arm leg spin. Rashid Khan Arman is Rashid Khan’s complete name.

He participated in Afghanistan’s debut Test match against India in June 2018 as one of the eleven players who took the field.

In a nation’s first-ever Test match, he produced the most expensive bowling statistics by a debutant.

He recorded the best bowling statistics ever for an associate country in an ODI in June 2017. He was the youngest player to hold the top spot in the ICC Player Rankings for spinners in ODIs in February 2018.

Rashid was born to a middle-class Islamist household in eastern Afghanistan. His whole family practices Islam.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) appointed Khan as the team’s new T20I skipper in April 2019, taking Asghar Afghan’s place.

Khan participated in his 100th international cricket match for Afghanistan in June 2019 at the Cricket World Cup.

On October 18, 2015, he played in his first One Day International (ODI) for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe. The International Cricket Council (ICC) awarded him Associate Cricketer of the Year in January 2018.

In the following month, he was appointed Afghanistan’s temporary captain for the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier competition while Asghar Stanikzai recovered from having his appendix removed.

Ashid Khan was born into a large household on September 20, 1998, in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. Rashid Khan Arman was his father.  He grew up with ten siblings.

His family escaped the Afghan war when he was still a child and spent “a few years” living in Pakistan. After their eventual return to Afghanistan, they resumed their regular lives while the cricketer continued his education.

The cricketer developed an admiration for Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi while growing up and modeling his bowling motion after him.

The cricketer, who is 24 years old, has never been wed. He attracted a number of internet trolls when he once declared that he wouldn’t get married until Afghanistan won the World Cup.

However, Rashid Khan explained that he didn’t say anything like that and that his message was misunderstood before the T20 World Cup in 2021.

Rashid Khan Family Details

He and his father shared a strong bond. Rashid referred to his father as the most significant individual in his life in one of his tweets.

When Rashid’s father passed away in December 2018, he was devastated. He tweeted that his father had always urged him to be courageous in life.

Rashid Khan hasn’t posted a picture of himself with his mother, but he has shown how much he cares for her in his tweets.

After a protracted sickness, Rashid Khan’s mother passed away in June 2020. Rashid, who was very close to her, tweeted grief after she passed away.

Rashid Khan has four sisters and six brothers. A video of him and his siblings playing cricket at home was once posted to him. About all of the siblings, not much is known.
