Along with the post, hashtags told people not to believe fake news and told them not to share false information online. However, Romualdez-Valtos later deleted the post.

Fans worldwide took to the platform to offer their condolences and express their sadness at his passing.

Also, Imelda’s daughter, Senator Imee Marcos, denied the rumors, calling them “bad” and clarifying that they had been circulating for over a week.

The false news of Imelda’s death caused her to trend on Twitter on Thursday, with cybercitizens expressing concern and sadness.

Imelda Marcos Family

The Marcos family is one of the most prominent political dynasties in the Philippines, with a long-standing history of political power and influence.

Imelda was born in 1929 to Vicente Orestes Romuáldez, a lawyer, and his second wife, Remedios Trinidad. She was the sixth child among eleven siblings, including Benjamin, Alia, Armando, Alfredo, Manila Conchita, and others.

Growing up in a politically active family, Imelda was exposed to the workings of the government and the inner workings of Philippine society from a young age.

Imelda’s uncle Norberto Romualdez was a Supreme Court Associate Justice, adding to the family’s political clout. Her younger brother, Benjamin “Kokoy” Romualdez, also served as the Governor of Leyte, further solidifying their political connections.

Imelda married Ferdinand Marcos on April 17, 1954, in a secret ceremony that was met with reluctance. Ferdinand was not only a lawyer but also a politician who went on to become the 10th president of the Philippines. He remained in power from 1965 to 1886.

Ferdinand passed away on September 28, 1989, at 72, at St. Francis Medical Center in Honolulu. Despite the controversy surrounding his presidency, his political legacy and influence on Philippine politics are still felt today.

Imelda and Ferdinand had four children: Imee Marcos, Bongbong Marcos, Aimee Marcos, and Irene Marcos. The family’s wealth and political connections enabled them to maintain their status as one of the most powerful families in the Philippines for many years.

Imelda Remedios Visitacion Trinidad Romualdez, popularly known as Imelda Maros, was born on July 2, 1929, in San Miguel, Manila, and is still strong at the age of 93.

Imelda’s early education was completed at the College of the Holy Spirit Manila, where she completed her first grade. She went on to attend the Holy Infant Academy, a convent school run by the order of Saint Benedict.

Imelda’s early education spread the foundation for her later political career. Her time at Holy Infant Academy helped her develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in politics.
