Ford served as a staff aide to the Senate Budget Committee when he entered the government after graduation. In 1993, he worked as a special assistant in the United States Department of Commerce.

In 1996, Ford returned to the university for his further studies at the University of Michigan Law School for a degree in J.D. However, he failed the bar exam for the House of Representatives Campaign.

The financial director’s wife, Emily Threlkeld, works for Carolina Herrera in public relations. She was born on January 2, 1981, in Naples, Florida.

Ford and Threlkeld got married in 2008 and have a son and a daughter named Georgia Walker Ford, born in December 2013, and as of today, she is 9 years old. Then a young fun loving boy Harold Eugene Ford III, was born in 2015.

Emily Threlkeld graduated from the University of Miami, and back in her 20s, she used to work for Nina Ricci. Tom Threlkeld and Deborah Beard are lucky to have a daughter like her.
