Excitedly, she playfully questioned whether they were having a boy or a girl.

Following the announcement, she gave birth to a healthy baby on September 13, 2022. She was overjoyed to welcome her new addition to the family.

She proudly named the baby Nico, which had a special meaning to her and her partner.

Adriana Urbina Early Life

Adriana Urbina is originally from Venezuela, where she was born. She was raised in a family of architects and artists.

She opted to pursue a culinary profession since she has a strong interest and passion for all things food.

She fell in love with food when she was 12 and went on to study at top international culinary institutions in France and Venezuela.

She honed her skills at top international culinary organizations, Alain Ducasse’s Lecole de Cuisine (France) and Sumito Estevez’s Instituto Culinario Caracas (Venezuela).

Later, she was an apprentice at Spain’s Michelin-starred 3-star restaurant, Martin Berasategui.

She relocated to New York City in 2011, establishing her pop-up and private dining company, Tepuy Dining.

She was the executive chef of De Maria, a James Beard Award-winning restaurant in Nolita.

Adriana is also a three-time champion of the Food Network’s Chopped, with her most recent victory coming in the highly challenging ‘Chopped Grand Championship.
