According to the sources, the Godfather of Poker passed away in Las Vegas on May 14, 2023; however, the reason behind his passing has not been disclosed by the family.
Doyles Room, an online poker room that was established in 2004, underwent several changes in its network affiliation.
Initially part of the Tribeca Poker Network (now integrated into the Playtech iPoker network), Doyle’s Room transitioned to the Microgaming (Prima) Poker Network in 2007.

The surgeons found that the cancer had spread, but they decided to perform an operation that would extend his life long enough for him to witness the birth of their baby. Surprisingly, after the operation, no traces of the cancer were found.
Doyle believes that his recovery was a result of the prayers of his wife’s friends and their correspondence with Kathryn Kuhlman, a self-proclaimed Christian faith healer.
However, shortly after, Louise developed a tumor of her own, but when she underwent surgery, her tumor also vanished.
In 1975, their daughter Doyla was diagnosed with scoliosis, but miraculously, her spine completely straightened within three months. Unfortunately, Doyla passed away at the age of 18 due to a heart valve condition.
