Ronnie was born in Manchester, England, in January 2019 to his parents, Phil Foden and Rebecca Cooke.

His firstborn bears the name of his father’s childhood nickname and often appears on his father’s Instagram account.

On January 23, 2020, Phil shared a photo of his son, Ronnie, to wish him a happy birthday, captioning, “Can’t believe it’s been a year already! Happy 1st Birthday to my boy.”

He has been present at his father’s games, and there is a possibility that in the future, he may choose to pursue a football career, following in his father’s footsteps.

Phil even dedicated his Man of the Match performance to his son in the 2020 Carabao Cup final.

They highlighted the importance of a well-rounded education and did not want him to neglect his studies for his football career.

Their goal was for him to become well-educated, regardless of his passion for the sport.

Subsequently, to relieve his parents’ concerns, Manchester City took steps to address the situation, offering Phil a scholarship that covered his tuition fees while he attended St Bede’s College.

This support from the club helped ensure that he could pursue his education while also developing his football skills.
