Marjorie, a congresswoman, was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, on May 27, 1974. Her parents are Robert Taylor and Carrie Fidelle (“Delle”)Bacon.
Her father was a blue-collar Michigander who had moved to Georgia and founded the successful construction company Taylor Commercial.
In 2002, he handed over the company’s reins to Marjorie and her husband, realizing their potential.
Sadly, her father, Robert, passed away in April 2021 after bravely battling Melanoma for three challenging months. At 20, he had been drafted into the Navy to serve in Vietnam.
