Bomi, Jer Bulsara, and Kashmira, Freddie Mercury’s younger sister, made up his family.
Freddie’s father, Bomi Bulsara, one of eight brothers, was raised in the Indian town of Bulsar, which is close to Mumbai.
Bomi worked as the high court cashier for the British government in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
The family led a very comfortable life there with a nanny and other domestic help.
As soon as they were married, Jer Bulsara accompanied Bomi to Zanzibar.
On September 5, 1946, Farrokh Bulsara, Freddie Mercury’s real name, was born in Stone Town, Zanzibar.
