Tim Webster Health is improving as he underwent six long hours of surgery to remove a tumor. He took off a lower section esophagus also followed by a collapsed lung.

Tim Webster is a well-known Australian radio and television personality and also a sports broadcaster. Tim was born on 15^th December 1951 Saturday he is a Sagittarius zodiac sign. He went to school at Scots College located in Sydney.

Webster started his career by working for Bathurst radio station 2BS, proceeding from a media buyer to a radio announcer.

After that, he was also part of the on-air team at Triple M Sydney. Webster has held a variety of presenting roles on Network 10 from 1981 until 2008.

Although the Australian broadcaster’s career was running quite smoothly, he evolved esophagus cancer in the year 2005.

Esophageal cancer is a disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the muscular tube that carries food and liquids from your mouth to the stomach.

During Tim’s mid-fifties he gradually started to encounter frequent and severe reflux, which led to a condition called Barret’s esophagus cancer.

As a result of this condition, Webster had to undergo a long six-hours surgery because surgeons had to remove a tumor that was at the lower section of his esophagus, near the junction of his stomach.

He had to undergo the surgery after a week after his shock diagnosis treatment.

Even after the surgery, his recovery process was quite long and exhausting. In one of his interviews, the veteran TV sports reporter said that it was an extremely long and very invasive surgery.

He also had a couple of complications and ended up with a collapsed lung.

Due to these reasons, Tim took a while to recover and also was in the hospital for a very long time. “It was pretty debilitating” Webster recollects.

Significant weight loss was one of the striking post-surgery symptoms that he had to experience. Tim had to be fed through his stomach after his surgery. So, Tim went to 80 kilos from 102 kilos.

Eventually, when the Australian broadcaster was able to start eating, the food was going in the incorrect way due to which Webster had to undergo surgery for the second time for his collapsed lung.

Sadly, Webster was frequently being told that he would never be the same again still that did not demotivate his spirit. In this second surgery, it did not take much time to recover.

Though his health was not as normal but still people saw him appreciate life a lot more.

“At my age, I tend to go to a lot more funerals than I go to christenings, but that’s going to happen when you’re 65 and not 25,” he says.
