The Soap Actor Todd Carty Maintained His Innocence And Released On Bail

Todd Carty, an English actor and director, is in the spotlight for his arrest news on suspicion of sexually abusing five underage boys.

Todd John Jennings, aka Todd Robert Carty, appeared on the television screen at four in an advertisement for Woolworths.

His first professional stage appearance was as the young Lionel in Lionel Bart’s autobiographical musical “Lionel!” at the New London Theatre.

He gained worldwide fame for portraying Tucker Jenkins in the BBC children’s drama Grange Hill and its spin-off series Tucker’s Luck.

Moreover, Todd became one of the longer-running male cast members in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders, playing the role for 13 years.

He left the BBC One soap opera in 2003 and went on to play the villainous PC David Kent in ITV’s The Bill from 2003 to 2005.

Todd Carty’s Family is stunned by the allegations

The soap opera actor Todd Carty was arrested on accusations of pedophilia in early October. However, he was released on bail while inquiries continued.

Police raided his home over a string of alleged child s*x offenses and took away computers and documents in evidence.

Todd has denied the allegations against him, which date back to the 1990s.

Authorities didn’t reveal his name, but his neighbor said he had been arrested. Likewise, his arrest news surfaced on Twitter and Tiktok.

Police are examining the allegations from the five boys, now adults, finding similarities. 

While the soap star maintained his innocence, a police spokesperson expressed,

A man has been arrested on suspicion of historical child s*x offenses involving five victims. Officers investigating allegations relating to the 1990s detained a man. He was arrested on suspicion of several s*xual offenses relating to five men who were teenage boys at the time of the alleged offending. He has been conditionally bailed while inquiries continue.

Todd’s family, including his wife, was stunned due to the arrest over the pedophile claims.

He has been dating his business partner, actress/writer and film producer Dina Clarkin, since 1990. They have two sons, James and Thomas.

The love birds have known each other since childhood through their parents. Dina is the daughter of Irish actor Tony Clarkin.
