When Scarlett was 17, people told her she wasn’t well, and she had really strong panic attacks that made her unable to leave her home for about two years.

She worked very hard to understand her mental health by talking to therapists, taking medicine, and learning a lot about mental health.

As a teenager, she remembers feeling really sad, and it was tough for her to do even everyday things.

Then, when she was 19 and trying to work on a project with a friend, she realised she couldn’t even get out of bed.

She stated, “Maybe this is how her life will be from now on. I might not be able to live like I thought I would.” But she learned to accept that it’s okay; her life will be different, and she’s okay with that.

Despite her mental health challenges, Curtis managed to overcome them with her own efforts and determination.
